According to
the manufacturers written instructions apply Mold-EZ or other glass separator to
one of the Creative Paradise Earthenware Textured Fusing tiles: GX01 Flower
Texture, GX02 Mosaic Texture, GX03 Wave Texture, GX04 Harlequin Texture. Discern
which side of the clear iridized glass has the iridized coating. The iridized
coating typically will slightly diminish the glossy surface on the iridized side
of the glass. Place the clear iridized glass iridized side down on the tile and
stack the black piece of glass directly on top of the clear iridized glass on
the tile. Place the project with the tile on to the center of a kiln shelf
positioned several inches below the pyrometer in the kiln. Fire the kiln at 400
degrees per hour to 1470 and hold for 17 minutes. Allow the kiln to cool slowly,
preferably annealing the glass in the kiln for one hour at 960 degrees F.
After the
glass is cool, coat Creative Paradise GM02 6" x 6" square slump mold with Mold
EZ or other glass separator according to the manufacturer’s written
instructions. Place the
fused piece of glass texture side up on the slump mold and heat the kiln at 500
degrees per hour to 1280 degrees and hold for 15 minutes at this
temperature until the glass is slumped. Allow the kiln to cool slowly,
preferably annealing the glass in the kiln for one hour at 960 degrees F.
