At
Creative Paradise, Inc. we are excited and proud to be introducing a line of
earthenware slump, drape
and texture molds to create fabulous glass flowers! We will be printing a book
featuring these new molds and 16 to 20 flower patterns and instructions on how
to use the molds to create beautiful bouquets and show stopping garden accents.
One great way to display the glass flowers is to attach the flower to a copper
tube and bend the copper tube slightly to create a lovely copper stem. Below you
will find one way to attach a copper tube to a glass flower.
Materials required:
A drill with a screwdriver bit is also a nice tool to have for this project The first step is to use the pipe cuter to cut the copper tube to the approximate length desired. |

| The end of the copper tube will be folding in a little from the pipe cutter. It is necessary to ream the end out to create a clear opening for the next step. |

| Place the screw into the copper tube opening and begin to turn the
screw into the tube. This process "pre-threads" the interior of the
copper tube and will make inserting the screw easier after the flower is
attached. Turning the screw into the tube can be difficult for weaker
wrists. To make it easier, the tube can be clamped onto a table and a
drill with a screwdriver bit can be used to drive the screw into the
copper tube.

| Insert the screw through the center hole of the flower. Depending on the size of the hole in the center of the flower, it may be necessary to put a washer of appropriate size on the screw such that the screw head does not slip through the center of the flower. |

| Place a washer on the screw on the back of the flower. The size of the washer may vary depending upon the size of the hole in the center of the flower. Additionally, a rubber washer might be necessary if the flower is particularly delicate in the center. |

| Begin setting the screw into the pre-threaded copper tube. Turn the copper tube onto the screw being careful not to apply too much pressure to the petals. |

| Use a screwdriver to tighten the screw just enough to secure the
flower.
DO NOT OVER TIGHTEN THE SCREW. |

| Apply E6000 to the bottom of the flower center and place the flower center over the screw head. Allow the glue to dry completely. |
